Privacy Policy

Demique is operated by Oberon Labs (Tokyo, Japan). This policy explains what we collect when you use demique.com.

What we store

Your account email and sign-in identifiers (via Google Firebase Authentication); your project edits, such as the timeline, titles, stickers, captions and settings (in our Supabase database, private to your account); videos you choose to share (publicly readable by anyone with the link until you delete them); and your plan and billing status (payments are handled by Polar, our Merchant of Record — we never see card numbers).

Your recordings stay on your device

Screen recordings, camera recordings and music you add are stored in your browser on your own device and are not uploaded to us. They leave your device only when you create a share link (that exported video is uploaded so the link works) or generate AI captions (see below). Clearing your browser's data deletes them, so download a copy of anything you want to keep. Projects created before this change may still have their recording in our private storage until you delete the project.

Click capture

If you install the companion extension, it records click and cursor positions and times while a recording is running, and adds them to that project. It does not record keystrokes, page content or addresses.

AI captions

When you generate captions, the audio of your recording is sent to OpenAI for transcription. OpenAI processes it under its API data policy and doesn't use it to train models.

Your choices

Delete a project to delete its edits and the recordings stored in this browser; delete a share link to remove the public copy. To delete your account or get a copy of your data, email demique.contact@gmail.com.

Local mode

When the app runs without an account, everything stays in your browser's storage and nothing is sent to us.
